A bit of Exercise

What an eventful day.

Steven Seidel, a local personal trainer, took me out for a light workout. After being sedentary for so long and being on narcotics, the simplest of workouts are quite challenging. Thankfully, Steve had mercy on me after the first 5 minutes (mercy because I was unable to do a single push-up and had the flexibility of a moist 2x4) and moved us from an indoor session to an outdoor urban jungle session: Some fast walking with intermittent band exercises. Sadly, I could hardly keep up. A far cry from the days when I used to cycle. I cannot believe how hard such an easy workout is for me right now. Steve is a great spirit and kept me moving the entire time.

We have more workouts planned and I'm looking forward to getting the blood moving again.

Hospital Update

After pulling myself off the ground, I made it back home where Sadi and I talked over our options for hospitals with my family. As eager as I am to just make a decision, the right thing to do is to have additional tests with the results sent to the Mayo and U. of Pitt. We'll hear what each has to say and then make an informed decision sometime next week. This is not an easy decision. I have to remind myself daily that this decision truly effects the rest of my life.

Sadi has been a trooper. Following up with all the requests the hospitals have made. Keeping our local hospital on their toes; making sure they send out the appropriate materials. Scheduling my appointments. And diligently working on an upcoming fundraiser (more on that soon).

Thanks for listening.
