My friend Teddy Spittal of BigHeadIs.com wants to buy my tumor; apparently he wants one of his own. The tumor is really expensive being a gremlin and all. Since Teddy can't afford the tumor himself, he is having a status-a-thon to raise money.
Teddy's initial thought was to ride his bike from DC to Texas and have people pledge money for every mile he rode, but he's really too lazy to pull that off.
Teddy thought: "What could I possibly do that might be kind of easy? What about having people pledge money for something I already like doing: bringing attention to myself? Ta da!"
Teddy's Idea
Get people to pledge money for every time his status makes people laugh. For 1 month, starting in November, Teddy will update his status every day, and if you think it's funny, you donate what you pledged.
If it doesn't make you laugh, you keep your money (or donate it anyway).
Still don't get it? I'll break it down for you: If you pledge $2/laugh/status and Teddy makes you laugh 15 times in November, you donate $30; if you pledge $5/laugh/status and Teddy makes you laugh 30 times, you donate $150.
Easy, right?
How Do You Pledge?
Just post to the Facebook Group what you pledge: Teddy Spittal Status-a-Thon (help me buy Kindler's tumor). At the end of November, you donate to a paypal account Teddy has set up (Teddy swears he won't use the money to go holiday shopping on Black Friday).
Thanks for listening.
